FAQs

Do I need to bring my own mat?
You can, we also have mats here that you can borrow.

Is there a car park?
Yes, we have a carpark at the rear of the studio, completely free!

Do you have lockers?
Yes, completely free to all Yoga Students (you get a key)

Can I pay per class and drop - in at the Wee Yoga Room?
I think it is important to have continuity in classes, so for that reason we do not usually offer drop - in classes. Commitment is extremely important when practising Ashtanga. For this reason a regular practice is crucial and drop - in, ad - hoc classes do not give you the same consistency.
The Wee Yoga Room offers courses, so that you can attend a regular classes on a weekly basis and progress through the sequence safely. The yoga practice that you learn under our guidance is NOT the same as a gym yoga class. Gym yoga very rarely teaches you the pure yoga system .
You will learn the Ashtanga system in a beginner's course at the Wee Yoga Room and all the fundamental tools required to progress through the sequence at a pace that works for you.

Can I make - up missed classes if I go away?
Yes! If you miss a class, you have the opportunity to make it up by coming to another class during the block, so you may do 2 classes in one week. This is flexible class policy that other studios rarely offer, so is a real incentive if you find that you have the odd personal commitment or are going away on holiday.

Should I bring anything specific to class?
Nothing specific required. You can bring a bottle of water as it is important to rehydrate after class.

What shall I wear?
Gym gear is good - something that you can move in.

How many beginners courses does the average participant do?
Most will repeat the block at least once, but it really depends on your general fitness levels and how quickly you grasp the breath and movement.

How are the courses structured?
You will start with the beginner's level class and when you feel ready, you can move to the Level one course, or the Mysore style class. Further to that, the next step up is the full led primary class, or the Level one plus . You can read more about our classes here:
Yoga Styles (theweeyogaroom.com)

How many people to you accept?
We take a max of 12 for the beginner level and 14 for the Level one and beyond.
