“I believe we are not fixed in a certain way of being, feeling or behaving, rather that we have the freedom to choose how we react to the world around us…”
The more years I spend studying and working with the ‘hypnotic brainwave state’, the greater becomes my passion for hypnosis and conviction for the wealth of resources we all have to make changes and improvements to our quality of life, and thereby also benefiting those around us.
Lindy has post graduate certification in Clinical Hypnotherapy, supervisory experience with the London College of Clinical Hypnotherapy, affiliation to the British Society of Clinical Hypnotherapy and Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council and is a recognised master of Conversational
In her years of study and practice of hypnotherapy she has drawn on previous academic qualifications which include studies of eastern/Buddhist philosophy, states of consciousness and the relation of science to spirituality. A lot of her work is conversational with reference to Ericksonian hypnosis, CBT, symbolic language, Acceptance Commitment and Positive Psychology.
Everyone has their own particular needs and ways of responding so every session is tailored to the individual.
Personal qualifications include an interest in people, the similarities that bind us as human, the differences that define us as individuals, belief in our ability to constantly learn and to change, to not be bound by restrictive labels or personality traits, a fascination in matters of the mind; placebo effects, operations without anaesthesia, the imagination of dreams, the connection of mind and body and the psychoneuroimmunology, or science of it all. A well maintained mind can go a long way to improving our general health.
The power we have to make changes for ourselves, whether it be in how we cope with adverse circumstances or how we take more responsibility as to the quality of life we choose, is becoming more evident. In a fast paced, accelerating, impersonal and hi-tech world, it is increasingly necessary to take stock of ourselves; what is important to us, how we want to live, to look after and nurture our inner lives at the same time as we manage our outer, or projected, lives.”
Lindy works mostly with anxiety in adults, whether that manifests in insomnia, inability to action, lack of self belief, weight mismanagement, diminished physical health, fears, low mood or other. Should you wish to discuss with her the suitability of hypnotherapy for your particular circumstance before booking an appointment please get in touch.
